METAPHOR IN ARCHITECTURE
L’architecte surfe en permanence sur l’imaginaire collectif : la mer d’un côté, le ciel de l’autre. Pour lui, l’important c’est l’émotion, le plaisir, le rêve : une voile tendue entre deux immeubles, une piscine telle un coquillage, les vagues d’écume d’un grand plafond, un vol d’oiseaux dans une salle de lecture.

The architect constantly dips into the collective imagination below, the sea, above the sky. For him emotion, pleasure and the imaginary are important: a sail stretched between two buildings, a swimming pool like a seashell, waves breaking on a high ceiling, a flight of birds in a reading room.
