Le nouvel édifice, aligné de biais, creuse la perspective de la rue et glisse une bande jardinée dans l’espace en retrait.

Complex project to remove asbestos, renovate and extend university: a huge undertaking on a site accommodating 45,000 students and 8,000 teaching, research and support staff. The original wall set the tone. To soften the perspective, the new building angles slightly away from the street, and a green planted band slots into the space thus freed.
