C’est le changement des conditions de travail qui motive les transformations. Le bâtiment est un déjà là, il est mis en question par l’évolution des usages. La transformation de l’existant vise une optimisation des surfaces et l’extension du nombre de salles de réunion. L’exigence en matière de confort dans les bureaux évolue et, avec elle, les contraintes en matière de traitement de l’espace et d’organisation. Sur le plan architectural, la réalisation a permis un réalignement de la façade et sur le plan environnemental, l’adjonction d’une double peau sert désormais de tampon climatique. La structure, en bois lamellé/collé et en câbles, donne au bâtiment sa dimension atlantique.
Changes in working conditions motivate transformations.The existing building was in need of a transformation because of the evolution of the use of the space. Transforming the existing space targets the optimization of surfaces and an increase in the amount of meeting rooms. Demands concerning comfort in the office place evolve along with the constraints of the organization of spaces. Architecturally, the project made it possible to realign the façade with the environment. It was possible to add a type of second skin to the building that serves as a climatic buffer. The structure is in glued laminated timber and cables, which gives the building an oceanic atmosphere.
