REHABILITATION/RENOVATION, COMPLEXE AQUATIQUE

C’est une réhabilitation sur l’exacte emprise d’une ancienne piscine qui, au bout de quarante ans, souffrait d’une obsolescence technique. La nouvelle piscine bénéfice de toutes les avancées techniques en matière de traitement de l’air, en matière de traitement de l’eau, mais aussi en matière d’économie d’énergie et de gestion des apports solaires. La lumière naturelle elle-même est devenue matériau de construction pour une architecture durable. Sur le plan métaphorique, c’est la métaphore géologique, tectonique, qui trouve une expression adéquate : l’enchâssement de pierres précieuses dans le monde du charbon, une allusion à l’histoire du lieu.

This project consist of the renovation of a pool that was built 40 years ago and suffered from technical obsolescence. The new pool is equipped with modern technological systems that treat the air and water and also includes energy saving and solar power elements. Natural light became a construction material for a sustainable architecture. A geological and tectonic metaphor is present in the structure: precious stones mounted in a world of coal, which is an allusion to the history of the site.
