La répétition renforçait la dimension anxiogène de l’espace. Tout a été repensé pour allier respect de la personne détenue et aide à la réinsertion. Pour humaniser l’ensemble, une large réflexion a été entamée sur la présence de la nature et la construction d’un nouveau paysage architectural. La ventilation double flux apporte désormais un gain thermique tout en améliorant les conditions d’hygiène. La rénovation permet un meilleur repérage, favorise l’appropriation des espaces intérieurs, rend l’intimité possible et donne un niveau de confort digne à chacun des détenus.

Repetition reinforced the anxiety-provoking dimension of this space. The entire space was re-examined in order to integrate respect of the detainee and to encourage rehabilitation. In order to humanize the overall structure, there was a process of reflection on how to best integrate nature into the construction in this new architectural landscape. The balanced ventilation system improved the climate control and the hygiene conditions. The renovation makes it easier to visually distinguish between different buildings. It also promotes the appropriation of interior spaces and makes privacy possible and provides an increased level of comfort for the detainees.
